    Apple rolls out iCloud update for Windows users, gets password manager feature!

    California-based tech company Apple offers many software solutions in addition to premium hardware.
    Now Apple has rolled out i-Cloud for Windows version 12.5, in which a dedicated password manager has been given to the users.
    With the new update, Windows users will also be able to manage passwords stored on Apple’s cloud with the iCloud Password app on their computers.
    The iCloud update has given Windows users the option to autofill passwords stored in Apple accounts.

    Saved passwords will appear in the Apple account

    Users will also get access to the iCloud Passwords app by installing the new iCloud for Windows version 12.5 on their Windows computers.
    Users will now have the option to copy, edit or manage the passwords they have saved on their Apple devices on their Windows PC as well.
    Users will not only be able to add new passwords according to their needs, they will also be able to delete previously saved login information.

    Password extension will be able to add to the browser

    Apart from the dedicated password manager app, with the latest iCloud for Windows update, users have also got support for browser extensions.
    In this way users will be able to install extensions in browsers like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
    After installing these extensions, users will have the option to auto-fill the passwords saved in the iCloud account.
    Passwords and usernames can be saved in iCloud only with the help of these extensions.

    Passwords will sync across devices

    With the help of Windows computers, saved usernames and passwords can be synced across different Apple devices.
    That is, the passwords that you have saved on a Windows computer can also be accessed on an iPhone or Mac.
    Apple has explained how users can use the new iCloud Passwords app on Windows systems.
    This will be very easy to do and users just have to login with Apple ID.

    How to use Password Manager in Windows System

    First of all you have to install Password Manager app in Windows PC.
    You will then be able to access the app from the Start menu and access passwords from the All Passwords section on the left.
    To add a new password, users have to tap on the plus (+) icon appearing in the search bar.
    Any password can be deleted or edited by going to the list of all passwords.

    Login with two-factor authentication

    Users will be able to use the i-Cloud Passwords app after logging into their iCloud account.
    To do this, they will have to go through two-factor authentication and they will be able to do this with the help of Apple devices.
    For App Authentication in Windows computer, users must have iOS 14, iPadOS and macOS Big Sir device.
    If the option of biometric authentication is not available on the Apple device, then the PIN can be entered.
