Damar Hamlin made his first comments since his cardiac arrest at Paycor Stadium on Monday Night Football.
The Buffalo Bills posted the following message on his Instagram account.
“When you put real love out into the world it comes back to you 3x’s as much,” Hamlin wrote on his Instagram. “The Love has been overwhelming, but I’m thankful for every single person that prayed for me and reached out. We brung the world back together behind this. If you know me you know this only gone make me stronger. On a long road keep praying for me!”
Hamlin remains in critical condition at UC Medical Center, but has made a remarkable recovery to date. The Bills noted on Saturday that Hamlin continues to breathe on his own and that his neurological function is excellent.
Hamlin recently had his breathing tube removed. Once removed, the safety was able to FaceTime with his teammates on Friday. In addition to giving his teammates a flex, Hamlin had a simple message for his teammates.
“Love you boys.”
Buffalo will be wearing No. 3 patches for Hamlin on Sunday in their matchup against the New England Patriots.
