The company has launched this smartphone in the African market, but the company has not yet shared any information related to its price. The pocket-friendly smartphone Vivo Y01 packs an HD+ LCD display, a 5MP selfie shooter, MediaTek Helio P35 chip, and a 5,000mAh battery. So far, no information has been given related to the launch of the device in India.

HD + display

Vivo Y01 gets waterdrop notch design, bottom bezel and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone flaunts a 6.51-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) Halo Fullview IPS LCD display with Eye Protection Mode, which filters out harmful blue light emissions. Vivo's new smartphone has been introduced in two color options - Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue. The dimensions of the Vivo Y01 smartphone are 163.96x75.2mm, thickness 8.28mm and weighing 178 grams.


The Vivo Y01 smartphone is powered by MediaTek P35 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The internal memory of the phone can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card. Vivo Y01 smartphone works on Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11 (Go Edition). For connectivity, Vivo Y01 includes 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, micro USB (USB 2.0) port, USB OTG and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Camera & Battery life

Vivo Y01 gets a rectangular camera unit at the back, which houses an 8MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone also sports a 5MP selfie shooter with a waterdrop-style notch and f/2.2 aperture. The list of sensors present in it includes facial recognition sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, GPS, Beidou, GLONASS and Galileo. The Vivo Y01 smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery with reverse charging support. The new Vivo phone will be available in several African countries including Kenya, but its price has not been disclosed yet.
